The GAFF is delighted to announce that KNUCK & KNUCKLE picked up Best Documentary Short in the 2025 Catalyst International Film Festival and David Mc Donagh, director of Being Put Back Together, was announced recipient of a €10,000 Bursary Award.

KNUCK & KNUCKLE tells the story of how boxing and sport helped Lee Reeves through his personal grief journey following the death of his mother, Cathy.

Congratulations to all of the artists involved in both films, Willzee, Sean Horgan, Ellie Marron, Rosie McCarthy, Frank McCarthy Lee Reeves and to our colleagues and collaborators Keith Bogue and Maeve McGrath at Dromglen Productions and thanks to Heather Adair at Learning Hub Limerick as well as Basecamp Limerick and Limerick youth Service, Askeaton.

Both films were made with funding from the Traveller Wellbeing through Creativity programme supported by The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon, Creative Ireland and HSE Ireland.
