Were you in Community SIAMSA in Limerick (1970s–1990s)?

If you participated in Community SIAMSA as a performer, musician, technician, volunteer, or audience member, your memories are invaluable.

Helena Enright and The GAFF are seeking personal stories, anecdotes and reflections from anyone connected to the community theatre scene in Limerick from the 1970s through to the 1990s.

An award-winning playwright and theatre practitioner, Enright is working with The GAFF to create a new play inspired by the rich history of Community SIAMSA in Limerick. As part of this project, she is also developing an oral history archive to preserve the memories, stories, and experiences of those who were involved.

This is a unique opportunity to share your experiences and help shape a theatrical work that celebrates Limerick’s vibrant community arts heritage. Selected stories may be used in the play and the accompanying archive, ensuring these voices are preserved for future generations.
