Creative Communities Midwest will bring some of the greatest untold stories/histories in the Mid West to life through our network so that our communities can access cultural and historical experiences that we will link to a digital platform. Schools, families and communities can access local history and stories told through the medium of Arts and Culture. Based on the significant success of the Place Based Curriculum in Leeds and Hull, this project piloted five Tiny Little Histories in 2021.

These histories will become part of the beginning of a collection of histories about the Mid West that will be available online as an educational community resource.

Tiny Little Histories, told by the community and preserved by the community.

Creative Communities Midwest (CCM) is a professionally-resourced, network led by The GAFF to connect arts organisations and community stakeholders. The aim of the network is to further embed community engagement and develop new ways for creative communities to network.

The GAFF received funding from the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Irish Government under the Community Enhancement Programme and graciously acknowledge support from The Arts Council, Limerick City and County Council and the Department of Housing, Planning and Local Government under the Social Intervention Fund
